Tequila Sock Yarn & the Afterthought Heel
Doesn't that sound like a charming children's story title? Can't you just picture Tequila Sock Yarn, the adorable main character (possibly some cousin of Franklin's Harry), engaging in hijinx and adventures as she searches for clues and gets into minor trouble with the adults on her quest to find the mythical Afterthought Heel, a legendary artifact that imbues the possessor with magical powers of error-free knitting.
If only.
The truth is also cool though! Check out this awesome sock yarn that Aleta brought me at friday's monthly meetup of the drunken knitters.

Of course, being the spaz that I am, I spilled an entire shot of tequila on this poor Koigu--did you know how well Koigu soaks up tequila?--and although the scent has largely disappeared to my nose, my alcoholic cat is completely in love with it's sheepy, tequila-y goodness.

And of course, lest I forget, the secret knitting artifact....
"I'm ready for my heel now!"

HeeHee, and Inca's a MEAN drunk, too, isn't she? Did Guinness survive unscathed?
Oh, Inca, Inca, be careful or you'll get sent to a kitty treatment program...
Does Inca need an intervention?! Although it DOES make for a cute picture.
At fisrt it looks like a cute little kitty playing with yarn...but then you read the caption a nd learn the truth. Inca likes Tequila.
Dude! I want to be one of the drunken knitters... too bad I live so far away.
I also want to be friends with your cat. A kitty after my own heart...
Gorgeous yarn, tequila or not!
Hae fun with the afterthoughtheel; I knit a pair with them recently. You might want to consider decreasing every round instead of every second round once you are down to the last 8 rounds or so; the pattern I used ended up giving me corners on my heels.
